Join us for a special visit to Proteaflora, Australia’s largest provider of protea plants. Founded over 50 years ago by the Mathews family, Proteaflora cultivates and sells a wide range of Proteaceae both to the nursery and commercial grower markets.

Walking on the Wildside - Floral Mystery Box Challenge
A new take on Walking on the Wildside, The Floral Mystery Box Challenge will feature a floral demonstration in which three respected floral designers will compete to create the most stunning designs from a mystery box of wildflowers.

Walking on the Wildside - WoW
Walking on the Wildside reverts to its more historical format, a one-day event that combines a farm visit with floral demonstration using wildflowers from the farm. WoW is designed for florists but growers are always welcome!

Walking on the Wildside is WildFlowers Australia’s popular event that focuses on florists, floral designers and floristry students and shows off the beauty of wildflowers in floral designs. The event includes both a Floral Demonstration open to all and a limited-space Floral Workshop.

Recent Event: Student Floristry Competition
For our 2024 competition, floristry students will design and make two pieces, a hand tied bunch and a wearable item (such as a corsage, buttonhole/boutonniere, or a hairpiece).

Recent Event: WildFlowers Australia Farm Visit: Victoria
A great day at The Wildflower Bunch, Kevin and Milusa Giles' wildflower farm in Sarsfield, East Gippsland, Victoria.
Growing a range of Australian native and South African wildflowers, The Wildflower Bunch is a tribute to resilience and the power of wildflowers. Over 15 years the Giles established a farm that had 7.5 acres under cultivation and sold 1,200 posies per week.
In August 2023, WildFlowers Australia hosted the 10th Australian Wildflower Conference in Moama, NSW.
